Putting Workout
iPhone · Apple Watch · AirPods

Consistent tempo is what separates expert putters. Train yours.

Putting Workout measures your stroke with the Apple Watch or AirPods you already own, trains it with a metronome, and explains it in plain words.

The Measure screen on iPhone: backswing 0.75 s, downswing 0.38 s on target, Delivery −3% decelerating.

Measure

Two numbers, one feel.

Every putt shows your backswing and downswing times in seconds, next to your target. Green means on target. The difference between a good stroke and a poor one is hundredths of a second, too small to feel until you can see it.

Delivery is the third number. It compares the putter's speed just before impact with its speed at impact. Steady into the ball shows green; a late push or a stall shows yellow or orange.

  • Identify My Tempo measures twelve putts at three distances and sets your personal target.
  • Quick Start counts putts at one distance with no setup.
  • Not a putt removes a practice stroke the sensor counted, during or after the session.

Apple Watch

Works on its own.

Leave your iPhone in the bag. The Watch measures your stroke and shows your numbers, or runs the metronome as sound or taps on your wrist, and syncs each session when your phone is nearby.

  • Apple Watch Series 8 or newer, Ultra, or SE 3, on the wrist.
  • AirPods on the putter shaft. Tested with AirPods Pro 1 and 2, AirPods 4 and Beats Fit Pro.
  • Metronome needs no sensor at all: Impact, Transition, or both.

Cue

Ask what the numbers mean.

Cue reads your session, points out what changed, and suggests what to practice next. It knows the app, the tempo research it draws on, and where your Delivery sits against your band. It never guesses whether a putt went in.

  • Built-in help answers on your iPhone and needs no account.
  • Cloud answers are optional, sent only when you turn them on, and stored under an anonymous code, never your name.
